Goal: To promote fellowship, spiritual and physical health, and community within our congregation

Eligibility: Anyone affiliated with a corps, program, ARC, or headquarters.

Initiative Description:

1.) 5k Virtual Race - All participants will compete in a sanctioned local 5k race. Participants can compete either as an individual or as a team (or both). The set up will be similar to the Territorial Bowling League in that participants will fax (or email) the participant's results to the youth department. The youth department will slot the times in and send out the results. Team scoring will be based on the results of the virtual race. The teams must have five participants to compete in the race. Those participating will have a five month (January - May) window to compete in their 5k. Awards will be given to the overall winners and age group winners.

2.) 5 Verses - As part of the initiative, participants will commit to memorizing five scriptures that will be given to them when they register.

3.) 5 Weeks of Giving - Participants will commit to giving $5 a week for five weeks for World Services on top of tithing. Money to be turned in to their local corps.

4.) 5 Outreach/ Service Projects - During the five months, participants will need to complete five activities that involve outreach. Ideas for projects can be found at www.illfightday.com

5.) 5 Prayer Group Meetings - Participants to organize five prayer group meetings within the five month period. It is encouraged that the group meet with their teammates and training partners. Should the participant not have a team, they encouraged to start a peer prayer group.
